Ecatarina Leascenco

Ecaterina Leascenco is a Moldovan children's-book illustrator known for cozy, hand-drawn scenes with soft textures and nature-rich detail. Born and trained in Chișinău, she spent childhood summers in her grandmother's village-sunlt orchards, simple traditions, and lots of sketchbook time-which still shape her warm palette and gentle storytelling.

For Baylor's Big Adventures, she leans into tender character moments and friendly continuity-Cheddar's warm smile, Papa's kind gaze, and Baylor's curious lean-so every page feels like time with the same friends. Blending delicate pencil lines with painterly color, she creates a timeless picture-book feel made for forest trails, river light, and quiet, heart-warming moments.
