Moran worked for the Boston Globe, The Cape Cod Times, the Philadelphia Daily Nes. After newspapers Moran worked writing about and photographing international and domestic competitive rowing for United States Rowing, row2.k.com and Rowing Magazine. He continues working as a freelance photographer, covering mostly sports but also works as a portrait, travel and event photographer.
