In Tolosa, Spain, where she was born in 1973, doing mountain sports was common but she never thought of devoting her life to it. She studied business at theuniversity level, completed an executive program at a business school in Barcelona, and holds a masters degree in human resources management. She started and still runs a small rural hotel and restaurant in the Basque Country and teaches at a business college. She also travels, giving inspirational seminars to businesses and organizations.
