Elke P. FrederiksenELKE FREDERIKSEN is Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park. She has published Die Frauenfrage in Deutschland 1865-1915, and a book on Austrian writer Franz Grillparzer. Her numerous articles focus on individual authorsin nineteenth-and-twentieth-century German literature and on German Women's Social and Literary History in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
