Ellen Dittman PopeAuthor Ellen Dittman Pope is a resident of Parkersburg who grew up in Pleasants County. She is the reference librarian for West Virginia University-Parkersburg, where she is able to share her passion for preserving history. Coauthor Ruth Ann Dayhoff ives in Belmont and has taught the youths in Pleasants County for more than 35 years.
