Ellie MooreEllie Moore is a Yorkshire artist, making paintings and sculptures from palm-sized to wall-sized. Having graduated from Lancaster University with a First in Fine Art and Creative Writing, she works and exhibits in the north of England and specializesin acrylic, miniature paintings. This is her first illustration project, and it has been a privilege to continue the work of the remarkable artist, David Codling, whom she was lucky to have known and talked art with. Through their local gallery, she has been able to frame some of his original works, hear him play his guitar live, learn restoration techniques from him, and even paint the portrait of this most extraordinary sitter. It was a pleasure working with David's wife, Rosie, to complete the remaining illustrations in this book. Using David's folder of copious sketches, references and notes, and with guidance from Rosie, she has attempted to emulate his immaculate draughtsman ship, composition, and flair for colour and detail.
