Emanuela BorgiaEmanuela Borgia is Associate Professor of Classical Archaeology and Archaeology of the Roman Provinces in the Dipartimento di Scienze dell'Antichita, Sapienza Universita di Roma. Her research principally addresses the history and archaeology of the Rman Provinces; urban planning and architecture in its Eastern Provinces; the frontiers of the Roman Empire; migration and mobility in the ancient Mediterranean; Roman and Late Roman pottery in Italy and the Roman Provinces. She is the author of many scientific papers and of a book on the colonnaded streets of Cilicia. Since 2020 she has directed the archaeological excavation of the late Roman and Early Medieval Necropolis of Castel Sozzio (Viterbo, Italy) and is the coordinator of national and international projects in Italy, Great Britain, Turkey and Egypt.
