Emma Jo Painter RainesEmma Jo Painter Raines was born in Monroe County, Missouri, to Oliver and Leta Blanche Scott Painter, attended school there, and graduated from Paris High School. She graduated from Gem City College and worked in the defense industry until her husban's military service began. Jo has worked as a Department of the Army civilian and as an accountant. She served in her chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution as chapter regent and as registrar for several years.
