Eric R LevenskyEric Ross Levensky recently completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently serving as coordinator of the Southwest Node of the Clinical Trials Network (CTN), a NIDA-funded multisite projet evaluating the effectiveness of known efficacious behavioral, pharmacological, and integrated interventions across a broad range of community-based treatment settings and diverse patient populations. A secondary goal of the CTN is to disseminate effective interventions to physicians, providers, and their patients to improve the quality of treatment throughout the country. Dr. Levensky's primary area of research interest is inthe development, evaluation, and dissemination of treatment adherence interventions for patients with chronic illness, as well as examining psychosocial aspects of chronic illness management. Dr. Levensky's current work centers primarily on understanding and promoting treatment adherence in HIV patients, and he recently received a grant from the National Institutes of Health to conduct research in this area. Dr. Levensky has clinical interest in forensic psychology, as well as the practice, application, and supervision ofMotivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
