Evangelos P FavvasEvangelos P. Favvas is Petroleum Engineer and he belongs to the Research Staff of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in NCSR "Demokritos", Athens - Greece. His research interests embrace the experimental study of gas separation using memranes and sorbents with emphasis on hydrogen and carbon dioxide separations, as well as the insitu study of condensation process using the combination of X-ray scattering and adsorption techniques. He has also extended experience in the area of preparation and evaluation of new hybrid porous materials (metal doped silica based materials, CNTs, graphene, etc.) with emphasis on energy and environmental applications. The development of new processes and materials for the improvement of the physicochemical properties of conventional fuels and bio-fuels is also a branch of his scientific interests. During the last 4 years, he was tutor of 8 Thesis for master and Ph.D. Students at Greek Universities. He is author and co-author of 42 papers in peer review international journals, 2 book chapters, 2 patents and he has participated in 64 International and National conferences. Read More Read Less
