Evelyn D KleinEvelyn Klein's writing is a venture from reality into imagination. One path exposes topics of interest and concern in the language of prose. The other explores ideas with the sensibility, metaphor and succinctness of poetry. Her drawings help set thescene. Evelyn's poetry and articles have appeared in numerous journals, anthologies, newspapers, and other publications. In 1994, she published the anthology Stage Two: Poetic Lives, illustrated by her father. In 2005 her poem "A Place Called Home" was a prize winner with the Family Housing Fund in Minneapolis and is still touring the Twin Cities in an exhibit of art and poetry. In 2006, she published her first book of poetry, a memoir in verse, From Here Across the Bridge, with art by her father, Wolfgang Klein. The book won a cover award with the Midwest Independent Book Publishers.
