Frances Brundage
Frances Brundage (1854-1937) was an American illustrator of children's books and postcards. She specialized in drawing children and animals. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, and became a professional illustrator at age 17. She sold her first wok to author Louisa May Alcott, and later became one of the most prolific illustrators of her age. She lived with her family in Washington, D.C., Cape Ann, Massachusetts, and Brooklyn, New York. Her work remains highly sought-after by private collectors.
