Francis Stewart
Francis Stewart is the implicit religion research fellow at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Stirling for the first ever study of Straight Edge punk and religious identity. This has since beenpublished as the book Punk Rock is My Religion: Straight Edge Punk and ‘Religious’ Identity (Routledge, 2017). She has published on, and continues to research on, punk rock in Northern Ireland; punk rock and animal activism; gender, race and disability within punk rock; punk rock sound and religion; and the continued interaction between punk rock and ‘religion’, ‘spirituality’ and meaning making.
