Francisco BustosFrancisco J. Bustos is a poet, translator, and musician. In 2009, he founded a poetry/music group, Frontera Drum Fusion, which fused acoustic, electric, and digital music with bilingual poetry in English, Spanish, Spanglish, and Ingleñol. Francisco J Bustos is also a professor at Southwestern College and poet-translator of the San Diego Poetry Annual. In 2020, he founded Radio San Ysidro Mulmenyah (RSYM), an online musical platform of poetry and music, where poets and the borderlands community meet weekly via Zoom to write poetry a la brava with the sound of a healing drum playing in the background.
