Frank Musker Frank F. Musker has participated in many of the activities discussed in Sports and Recreational Activities throughout his life and from an early age. At the age of 6 his father, a gymnast and acrobat, brought him into his act and they performed ogether in the circus until he was 14. Mr. Musker went on to receive a certificate in physiotherapy from Baroness Rose School of Physical Therapy. He went on to receive a B.S. degree from Boston University in physical education. During World War II he attended the Aircorp Physical Education School in Miami and was a special instructor. He moved to the Medical Corp and attended the Correctional Exercise School. After the war he went back to Boston University to earn his M.S. in Physical Education and received his C.H.E.S. for advanced graduate work. In addition to teaching in the Aircorp, Mr. Musker taught at Baroness Rose, Boston University, gymnastics at M.I.T, and at the Boston Young Mans Christian Union. While at BYMCU he taught youths who were referred to his course from the Juvenile Court in Boston. He was Supervisor of Physical Education at the Peabody School. Mr. Musker first got involved with Sport & Recreational Activities when one of the first authors asked him to use the book in class and provide feedback. His decision to accept a small percentage of royalties led to a lifetime participation in the book. Mr. Musker is a past New England Chairman of Gymnastics.
