He worked with Elizur Wright on ambitious anti-slavery projects like theAmerican Anti-Slavery Society. He is also known for writing important books about the lives and careers of famous American authors and public figures, such as The Life and Genius of Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Life of Prince Otto von Bismarck, and The Life and Public Services of George Luther Stearns. The 4th of January 1846 saw the birth of Frank Preston Stearns in Medford, Massachusetts. On September 28, 1898, he married Emilia Maciel. They had one child after the wedding.
