Frank V WebsterFrank V. Webster was a pseudonym used by the Stratemeyer Syndicate, a group known for producing numerous popular children s books under various house names. Between 1909 and 1915, a total of 25 novels appeared in The Webster Series For Boys, publishe by Cupples & Leon. These adventure-filled stories were later reprinted in 1938 by Saalfield Publishing. To create the impression that Webster was a real individual, publishers crafted advertisements that spoke of him as an exclusive author, describing him in 1911 promotions as a distinctive discovery and in 1921 as a writer whose style resembled that of the famous Horatio Alger, Jr., but with modern and lively tales. In reality, many of these books were authored by Howard R. Garis, though other writers like George Rathbone, J. W. Lincoln, and Weldon J. Cobb also contributed to the series. Since Webster was a pseudonym and not a real person, there is no record of parents or personal life details to include. Read More Read Less
