Frederick L HamiltonFrederick L. Hamilton was born in 1964 in Opp, Alabama, to parents Paul Lewis Hamilton and Eva Diggs Hamilton. The descendent of slaves, he overcame a heritage which could have inhibited his success. Instead, it motivated both educational and professonal achievements, while fostering a deep relationship with the Lord.He holds a bachelor's in public administration from Auburn University (Auburn, Alabama), a master's in community counseling from Troy University (Dothan, Alabama), and a doctorate in public administration from Nova Southeastern University (Davie, Florida). He also graduated from the prestigious Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma (Norman, Oklahoma), an executive development certificate program.Frederick's professional career began as a research associate at the Center for Governmental Services at Auburn University. He then worked in community and economic development and planning for the Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission. He was notably the first African American resident of Alabama to become a Certified Economic Developer.
