Frédéric Bastiat
Frédéric Bastiat (1801-1850) was a nineteenth-century French economist and journalist, famed for his pro-free-trade writings. He staunchly believed in free trade and, for its promotion, established the Association pour la Liberté es Échanges (Association for Free Trade) in 1846.
