G N J ArchambaultINSIDE BACK COVER G.N.J. Archambault is married and lives with his wife in Montreal. He was born 1953 and grew up in the small southern Ontario town of Harrow. He moved to Montreal in 1971 and started working in the transportation industry, eventuall owning the company he worked at in 1998. On May 15, 2008 he boarded a plane in Montreal destined for Vancouver with his bike and gear. Later that day he reassembled his bike and started on his cross-Canada bike journey. After 73 days of biking, 8,433.3 kilometers, he finished the trek in St. John's Newfoundland visiting each province along the way. This story is loosely based on a portion of this journey. If you read the true account of this journey, you will see that many of the places and some of the events mentioned in the book actually took place. A webpage was set up in 2009 about this journey. A repeat of this site is planned to coincide with the release of this novel. In 2015 he sold his company which allowed him time to do the many things put off until there was time.
