G W StavrakyGEORGE W. STAVRAKY received his first medical degree at the University of Odessa. He was a student of the celebrated physiologist Boris P. Babkin, himself a pupil of Pavlov, and followed Babkin to McGill University where he continued his medicl education and received his M.D., C.M., and M.Sc. degrees. He was a member of the Montreal Neurological Institute from 1932 to 1936 and then joined the Department of Physiology at the University of Western Ontario. He became a full Professor in 1949.
