G. E. Alan DeverGE Alan Dever, PhD, MT, MD (hon), has been at MUSM since 1979 and has served as Associate Dean for Primary Care; Chair, Department of Community Medicine; Grassmann Chair of Rural Medicine; and, Director, Master of Public Health Program at Mercer Univrsity School of Medicine (MUSM) in Macon, Georgia. From 1974-1978 he was the State Epidemiologist for Georgia. He has held positions at Emory, University of Maryland, and University of Michigan. He has authored several books, the latest being Improving Outcomes in Public Health Practice: Strategy and Methods. His books have been translated into Spanish, Portugese, Japanese, and Chinese.
