Gabi Boy

GABI BOY is an author, illustrator, qualified Life Science teacher and self-proclaimed food critic.

In 2020, Gabi took part in the Picture This! illustration competition and was given the opportunity to write and illustrate her own book, Mnie & Rakker. This opened the door for her to work with incredible authors like Jaco Jacobs and Refiloe Moahloli.

She feels privileged that she gets to use her wild imagination every day to add joy to stories. If writing were a cookie, illustrating would be the chocolate chips and sprinkles.

Gabi lives in Cape Town with her husband and two daughters, who are also the backseat drivers in all her creative endeavours. She is a lover of Jesus, collector of rainbows, and guzzler of smarties.
