Gary KeatingFollowing his playing days, Gary Keating joined his father on the bench as a basketball coach. After his graduation from St. John's University, New York, Gary became an assistant men's college basketball coach at the age of 23. He would step away fro coaching to help his father who had Parkinson's disease. Later, at the age of 38, exactly 6 months to the day after his father had passed away, Gary was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson's. Since then he has participated in several research studies to help better assess the disease. Gary is a three time American Writing Award Finalist. Now helps a Caring For Caregivers Group to help others get through this journey of living with a chronic illness. Read More Read Less
