He is one of the world's recognized authorities on rolling element bearing tribology. As the Chief Technologist of Triology at the Timken Company, his responsibilities included overseeing the efforts in identifying and mitigating common failure modes experienced by rolling element bearings in multiple and world-wide market applications.
