Gary TrewEven though Gary has lived in Canada for over twenty years, his close friends and colleagues still call him "that funny British guy" thanks to his accent and quick-witted sense of humour. He has successfully navigated careers in the police, the minisry, and social work, and his years investigating child protection cases taught him the value of laughter in the face of life's challenges. Gary is the award-winning author of The Hate Game: Screaming in the Silence and its recent prequel, The Lie That Changed Everything. He also writes the hilarious illustrated children's series The Legend of Sticky Hands and, under his pen name Denny Darke, the darkly comic crime novels The Man with the Pink Sombrero and An Eye for an Eye: The Mallet Murders. He holds degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry and a BSW in Social Work. Gary enjoys sunshine, spicy food, Cadbury's chocolate, and Marmite (though not necessarily together) and remains a lifelong fan of Brighton & Hove Albion FC and the Vancouver Canucks.
