George A Papaconstantinou

George A Papaconstantinou is a Legal Officer at the European Commission. He holds a PhD in law from the European University Institute (EUI). During his PhD studies, he conducted research at Columbia Law School, where he was a Fulbright-Schuman Schlar.

Before joining the European Commission, George was an associate attorney with an international law firm in Brussels, with expertise on international trade and competition law. He has taught and published broadly on EU law, WTO law, financial regulation, and competition law.
