Georgia Hancock SnuszGeorgia Hancock Snusz is general counsel to the Animal Welfare Institute in Washington, D.C., a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating animal suffering caused by humans. In addition to directing institutional legal matters, Hancock Snusz wors in each of Animal Welfare Institute's program areas, including wildlife, marine life, farm animals, animals in laboratories, and companion animals, as well as with its legislative team. She frequently coordinates with outside counsel on various litigation and advocacy issues. She graduated with a concentration in environmental law from SUNY Buffalo Law School, where she served as executive editor of the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal. She previously worked for the Environment, Energy, and Resources practice in the Washington, D.C., office of Perkins Coie and for the public policy firm of Morgan, Angel & Associates.
