Gerald Schwedler
Gerald Schwedler is Professor of Medieval History at the Christian-Albrechts University ofKiel, Germany. His research areas include medieval historiography, memory culture and economic history. He has published various books and article on medieval strategies of memory and forgetting (Damnatio in memoria, 2014; Damnatio memoriae, 2020). He currently works on cultural inflation and imitation in the Middle Ages (Nachahmen im Mittelalter, 2018) as well as medieval patterns to deal with cultural degeneration (Exzerpieren – Kompilieren – Tradieren, 2017).
