Giuseppe BorrusoGiuseppe Borruso is Junior Lecturer in Economic Geography with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Trieste (Italy) since 2005. He teaches Cartography and GIS, Geography of Networks, Business Geography, and carries on research on urban and tansport geography, retail geography, population geography, GIS and cartography, spatial analysis, and GIS (geostatistics). On these topics he is author of more than 40 papers in national and international journals and reviews, as well as in proceedings of national and international conferences. He is member of Scientific Council of the Associazione Italiana di Cartografia (AIC: Italian Cartographic Association) and of ASITA (Federation of the Scientific Association for Geographical and Environmental Information Systems). He is also co-founder of the Geographical Analysis, Urban Modelling, Spatial Statistics group, acting at international level and regularly producing workshops within ICCSA (International Conference on Computational Science and its Applications) events.
