Gordon S JacksonGordon S. Jackson is a South African-born educator and author. He grew up in Cape Town, where he received his undergraduate education. He then completed an MA at Wheaton College in Illinois and worked as a reporter and editor for a newsmagazine in Joannesburg. Returning to the United States, he then completed his doctorate in mass communication at Indiana University in 1983. He then began his teaching career at Whitworth University, a liberal arts institution in Spokane, WA. He retired in 2015 but has remained active as an author. Your Photo on God's Fridge Door is his nineteenth book. In addition to two scholarly books, he has written three satirical novels, an anthology of satirical pieces about the church, and several other faith-related books.He is married to another South African, who helps to keep his accent honest. He and his wife have two adult children and identical twin granddaughters, who have been officially certified as the cutest, brightest, and most engaging grandchildren in the continental USA.
