Gunjan GuptaDr. Gunjan Gupta , (finalists for prestigious HERS SA Young achievers Award), received B.Tech (Electronics & Telecommunication) and M. Tech (VLSI) degrees from India in 2006 and 2011 respectively, DEng in Renewable Energy from Cape Peninsula Universiy of Technology, Cape Town, in 2018. She started her career in 2006, an academic experience of more than 18 years and supervised more than 200 Undergraduate students. She worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher (Satellite Systems Design) at French South African Institute of Technology for three years (2020-2023). Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering, member of African Space Innovation Centre (ASIC), F’SATI at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Bellville, South Africa. She has published numerous technical papers in accredited Journals, peer-reviewed conference proceedings and book chapters. Her research focusses on LoRa Networks (Reliability and accuracy), LPWAN Technologies, LoRa based Air quality IoT devices, LoRa WAN in satellite communication (CUBESATS), Satellite systems mission and design. Her current research activities include Integration of LoRaWAN and 5G for IoT, LoRa Direct-to-Satellites, IoT ground station.
