Gunjan Tiwari

Dr. Gunjan Tiwari is working as Scientist C in the Division of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resource Conservation, CSIR-CIMAP-Lucknow, India. She has completed her Ph.D. (Genetics and Plant Breeding) from GB Pant University of Agriculture andTechnology, Pantnagar. She has significantly contributed to the field of Population Genetics and Breeding, where she characterized the structure of breeding populations of various field and horticultural crops using second and third-generation molecular markers. She is actively involved in understanding the genetics of economic traits of medicinal and aromatic plants of global significance and using various selection methods to maximize genetic gain. She has authored many research articles in internationally reputed journals.
