Gurmail SinghGurmail Singh is Professor of Economics, Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. He completed his Masters and PhD in Economics from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. He has two joint publications with Professor G.S. Bhalla, namely, GATT ad Punjab Agriculture (1995) and Indian Agriculture: Four Decades of Development (2001). His other publications include Understanding North-west Indian Economy (jointly edited with H.S.
