H. Reuben CohenH. Reuben Cohen is a Canadian businessman, lawyer, and the third chancellor of Dalhousie University. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, he received a bachelor of arts degree from Dalhousie University in 1942 and a bachelor of law degree from the Dalhouse Law School in 1944. He started a law practice in Moncton in 1945 and was created a Queen's Counsel in 1968. He later founded Central Guaranty Trust Corporation and has had numerous business interests. (He was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in 2004.) He is a lifelong resident of Moncton and has long been active in the community, working in fundraising campaigns for health care institutions, arts organizations, and the Université de Moncton, where the art gallery bears his name.
