Hannah BookbinderHannah Bookbinder, LSW, M.Ed. has worked with the neurodivergent population for over 25 years. With a bachelor's degree in psychology from Brandeis University, a master's in social service from Bryn Mawr College, and a master's in elementary educatio from Cabrini University, she established AcademicAlly, LLC to assist individuals struggling with executive functioning skills. Over 95% of her clients have a formal ADHD diagnosis, and she works with individuals ranging from second graders to adults.Hannah's experience has given her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those with ADHD and their families. Time management, organization, accountability, distractibility, and self-advocacy are just a few of the hurdles these clients face daily. She has seen firsthand the frustration, misunderstandings, and relational strain that can arise-and she is dedicated to helping families navigate these challenges with clinically proven strategies.In collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, educators, and neuropsychologists, Hannah has developed effective tools to empower her clients. She has also shared her expertise through articles, blog posts, and presentations, offering actionable strategies to parents and professionals.As a member of organizations such as NASW and CHADD, she stays up to date on the latest ADHD research. Her website, www.Academic-Ally.com, provides additional resources, including her blog, Here's the Thing. Hannah's executive functioning app, My TOAD App(TM), will be available in the spring of 2025. This app is being developed for individuals across the lifespan who struggle with executive function skills like time management, organization, accountability, and distractibility. Hannah is passionate about helping clients reclaim control over their lives, and she often reminds them: "You may have ADHD, but ADHD does not need to have you." Her book and app are designed to provide comprehensive tools that empower neurodivergent individuals to succeed.When she's not writing or coaching, Hannah can be found lacing up her sneakers for a long walk (preferably with her husband or good friends) or enjoying a night of television with her family. She loves finding homemade ice cream shops when traveling, fashion, and walking along the beach.
