With this fiction collection, the raconteur has become an author, proudly following in the footsteps of his journalist father. Fculty at Princeton University urged him to pursue a career as a college professor and author after he earned a bachelor's degree in English literature (cum laude) in 1970. Instead, he opted to attend law school and and has practiced as a civil trial attorney in St. Louis, Missouri, for the last forty-eight years.
