Harley John StantonHarley Stanton grew up on a large apple farm at Allen's Rivulet in Tasmania. He completed degrees in Arts and Theology, then later a Masters in Nutrition and Health Promotion, and finally a Dr. of Public Health. For some 30 years form 1987 Harley wored to reduce tobacco use in Australia and Asia as well as the Pacific Islands. He was requested to work for the World Health Organization by the Australian Government in 1999 and was instrumental in achieving full ratification of the Global Convention by all of the countries or Member States of the Western Pacific Region.
