Harlo Malone

Harlo Malone writes paranormal mysteries because her brain held a closed-door meeting and decided that a "normal" life was simply out of the question. The characters moved into Harlo's head uninvited, started rearranging the psychc furniture, and refused to leave until their stories were filed in triplicate.

Specializing in tales where the veil is thin and the ghosts are grumpy, Harlo spends most days translating the demands of an overactive imagination into prose. Living in Charleston, South Carolina, Harlo is surrounded by enough history and hauntings to make even the bravest coffee mug tremble.

When not documenting supernatural shenanigans, Harlo leads a life of curated chaos. A little-known fact: Harlo is currently the reigning champion of the Lowcountry Competitive Moss-Whispering League and once successfully brokered a peace treaty between a disgruntled garden gnome and a very judgmental pelican. Harlo shares a home with several suspicious houseplants and a collection of shadows that seem to move only when the lights are off.
