Haviva Pedaya

Prof. Haviva Pedaya teaches Judaism and culture in the Department of Jewish
History at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She is the author of Vision and
Speech: Models of Prophecy in Jewish Mysticism (Hebrew),Within the Eye of the
Cat (Hebrew), and other works. Prof. Pedaya is also an award-winning Hebrew
poet and musical director of the Yonah Ensemble, a project devoted to the revitalization
of the liturgical and mystical music of the Near East.
