Heatherann RoseHeatherann Rose is a mother and gardenprenuer living in the Las Vegas, NV area. She graduated with a degree in elementary education, but chose to stay at home to raise her daughters, Audrey & Poppy. Though not in a classroom, it was the garden where he introduced and taught her girls her passion. To further enhance their learning experience she searched for well-illustrated children's books that focused on gardening, but was surprised at how limited gardening books were available. Committed to giving her girls the opportunity, Rose created a series of children's books that focus on gardening, and more specifically permaculture gardening. Her goal is to teach children that every garden space is more than just plants, but a thriving and living ecosystem and can be self-sustaining. The stories focus on the gardening experience through young eyes, where Audrey & Poppy share their experiences in the garden from growing, to harvesting, to activities, and sharing. Rather than sharing a story, Rose wrote her books with rhyming dialogue that engages the reader through inquiry-based learning, and the engaging illustrations introduce the garden life to young readers in a fun and easy way.
