Professor Waagepetersen has received the European Society of Neurochemistry Young Lectureship Award. Professor Waagepetersen is employing primary mouse cell culture systems of neurons and astrocytes. In addition, brain slices, isolated mitochondria, and cell lines are applied as model systems.
