Henry G WiebeHenry Wiebe was born in Hearst, ON, but moved with his parents to Abbotsford, B.C. at age nine. A career in education (M. Ed., UBC) included 24 years in public schools, 15 of them as an elementary school principal. This was followed by several pastorl roles in Alliance churches for 30 years. The retirement years provided opportunities for voluntary, short term mission trips and teaching English in several other countries, including a year in Kenya. Due to his wife's battle with Parkinson's a move to Chilliwack, B.C. in 2018 brought them closer to their family of 5 children and 12 grandchildren. Social needs existed everywhere. There is a place for uplifting and encouraging articles among so much negative news. The opportunity came to be such a columnist for the on-line newspaper Oliver Daily News.
