Henry Oster

Henry Oster es un sobreviviente alemán que sufrió abusos y carencias en el gueto de Lódź, y que posteriormente fue trasladado al campo de concentración de Birkenau, donde permaneció hasta el momeno de su liberación. Reconstruyó su vida en Estados Unidos a los 18 años, sin familia, sin saber inglés, sin dinero y sin educación. Cuando cumplió 85 años, aún era un profesor de Optometría respetado mundialmente. Después de mucho tiempo, decidió contar su historia y compartirla con el mundo.

Henry Oster is a German survivor who endured abuse and deprivation in the Lódź ghetto, and was later transferred to the Birkenau concentration camp, where he remained until liberation. He rebuilt his life in the United States at the age of 18, without family, without knowing English, without money, and without education. By the time he turned 85, he was a globally respected professor of Optometry. After many years, he decided to share his story with the world.
