Herman PirchnerHERMAN PIRCHNER, JR. became the founding President of the American Foreign Policy Council in 1982. Under his leadership, AFPC has emerged as a leading voice in the Beltway foreign policy debate and as a critical resource for U.S. lawmakers and officils in the Executive Branch on issues relating to national security and foreign affairs. During the 2012 Presidential campaign, Mr. Pichner directed the national security team advising former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Earlier in his career, he served in the U.S. Senate as Director of Legislation for Sen. Roger Jepsen (R-IA), as well as Legislative Assistant to Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA).
