Howard WaldropHoward Waldrop has been dubbed a "national treasure" by Locus magazine and called "the resident Weird Mind of his generation" by The Washington Post Book World. He is the author of one acclaimed novel, Them Bones and coautor (with Jake Saunders) of The Texas-Israeli War: 1999. However, he is probably best known for his many short stories, including the classic "The Ugly Chickens," which won both the World Fantasy Award and the Nebula Award.
