Hue HenryHue Henry grew up in Savannah, GA and earned a political science degree from Armstrong College. He moved to Athens where he graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1972. He clerked for the Honorable Anthony Alaimo, federal judge in hat was then the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals for two years and then was hired as a United States Public Defender in Atlanta. After several years, he returned to Athens and began his private practice where he focused his early work on issues of constitutional law. The Kemp case was a major influence on his career as well as on the University community. Also drawn to the stage in ways beyond the courtroom, he is active in local community theater. He retired several years ago and lives in the country outside of Athens with his wife Carole, a retired UGA professor, and his cat Mocha.
