Goodwin is a Principal Scientist at ClimaLab Australia, Associate Professor of Marine Climate at the Macquarie University Marine Research Centre and Adjunct Associate Professor, University of Western Australia Oceans Institute. Dr Goodwin isa pecialist in marine and synoptic climatology, paleoclimatology, glaciology and coastal-marine geoscience. He has been at the forefront of the development of weather and climate regime reconstruction in paleoclimatology using the natural archive including ice cores, glaciers, corals and coasts.
