Ian Fleming
Ian Fleming was born in London in 1908. His first novel Casino Royale was published in 1953 and Fleming went on to write another thirteen Bond books, as well as the children's classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which is based on the betime stories he made up for his son Caspar. In 1968 the story was adapted into a hugely popular film starring Dick Van Dyke, with a screenplay written by Roald Dahl.
