Ian HodkinsonI began working on Strophingia ericae for my PhD in 1968, later publishing new UK species and studies on psyllid biology. Following postdoctoral work in western Canada, I was appointed to Liverpool John Moores University in 1972. I published two RES andbooks on British psyllids and contributed extensively to psyllid taxonomy and biogeography across the Holarctic and Neotropics. My work includes global checklists, a revision of Arytainini, and studies from Alaska to Panama and Norway. Awarded a DSc in 1990, I later focused on Arctic/alpine invertebrates and climate change.
